What equipment will I need?

We have a stash of equipment-free classes, as well as plenty of classes that include the use of an Airbike, Tread, Row, Bike, dumbbells, kettlebells or resistance bands. Look out for the 'EQ' symbol in bottom right corner, this lets you know you'll be needing equipment.

You can tap into the class description for full details on the type of equipment used, and even the weight recommended.

Dumbbells & Kettlebells Recommendations:

Type

Best Used For

Recommended

Dumbbells light

Cardio

1kg-3kg

Dumbbells medium

Cardio & Strength

4kg-10kg

Dumbbells heavy

Strength

10kg+

Kettlebells

Cardio & Strength

4kg-10kg

Remember: Lighter doesn’t necessarily mean easier! Light dumbbells can be used in intermediate and advanced classes, as well as beginner and Barre.

If you’ve never lifted before, we recommend popping into your local gym or sports shop and testing some weights out. Progress from lighter to heavier weights as you build strength.

Need weights? We got you, check out our shop for the Fiit range.

Resistance Band Recommendations:

  • Short Loop Band - a small, thin circular band used in Cardio classes.

  • Long Loop Band - a long, thick circular band used in Strength classes. 13-32 mm bands are recommend.

  • 1-2 x Thera Band - a long, straight band used in Cardio and Rebalance classes, usually around 2m long. This can be folded/cut to suit your needs!

Airbike, Tread, Row and Bike:
