Training together pushes us harder (22% in fact!) and keeps us accountable. With Fiit you can work out and compete with people around the world, whenever you want and wherever you are, 24/7.

And as of February 2023, getting Fiit can be free. Read here for more information.

How to Join a Group Class

Fiit scheduled group classes are available throughout the day, 7 days a week. Think of these as your virtual group workout!

Head to the 'Home' page and browse all classes available by hitting 'View all'. You can book into;

  • A Fiit scheduled class: these are added to the calendar by our fitness team, they are available at peak times throughout the day

  • Public classes: these are workouts your fellow Fiit members have created and scheduled. Anyone can join, the more the merrier

  • Personal: these are the private classes you schedule for yourself. This option is only open to those on an Unlimited subscription.

The lobby for a group class will open 10 minutes before the class starts. We recommend you join the class and, if using a fitness tracker, get connected when the lobby opens to make sure you’re set up and ready to go on the leaderboard. You won't be able to join the class after it starts. Once you’re in the lobby, you’ll see the other members taking the class with you.

How to Invite Friends to a Group Class

If you are on an Unlimited subscription, you have the power to create your own group class (see below for steps) and invite friends to join you...for free!

Learn more about Fiit for free here.

If your friends are already Fiit members, you can invite them in the same way. Once they join the class and you’ll see them working out alongside you on the live leaderboard.

There’s no limit to how many people you can invite or how many people can join a group class. There is also no restriction on the type of class to can schedule, take any of the 1000+ on demand classes with your friends, including classes in your training plan!

How to Create Your Own Group Class

Creating a group class is easy:

  1. Choose any on-demand class in the app

  2. Pick a date and time

  3. Share the link with friends

  4. Go to the 'Classes' tab > View all > Scroll to see your class and friends that have booked in

You can even make this class 'Public' - this means your class will appear in the Fiit 'Public' Schedule and any Fiit member can join! The more the merrier and all that.

Can I pause a group class?

No, you can't pause a group class — this is to keep things fair on the leaderboard.

Do we all need to wear a fitness tracker?

It’s not essential but connecting with a Fiit Tracker or other compatible fitness tracker allows you to see your stats and track progress.

In Cardio classes, you’ll see a live leaderboard so you can challenge each other and satisfy your competitive side! Simply swipe it away if you don’t want to see it. If you’re not connected to a fitness tracker, you won’t appear on the leaderboard. In Strength classes, it’s all about form. You can track your reps but you won’t see a leaderboard until after the class has finished. In Rebalance classes, there’s no leaderboard but you can still connect with a fitness tracker if you want to see your heart rate.

You can purchase a Fiit Tracker here

How does the live leaderboard work?

You must be wearing a Fiit Tracker, Apple Watch or other compatible heart rate tracker to compete on the live leaderboard in a group class. Once the class starts, you’ll see your Fiit Points on the live leaderboard. The harder you work, the more Fiit Points you’ll earn, and the higher up the leaderboard you’ll climb.

The leaderboard is about the effort you put in, not your fitness level — so don’t worry about competing against people more active than you. Challenge friends for the top spot on the leaderboard and take on your PBs in our toughest workouts yet. Give it your all! Find out how does the leaderboard works.
