We use an industry standard formula to calculate calorie burn, and the Fiit app calculates your calorie burn every second that you're working out.

There may be some differences in how other apps calculate calorie burn, and how often calorie burn is calculated. For example, Apple Watch reads your calorie burn every five seconds.

If you're seeing a considerable difference in calorie burn between Fiit and other apps, it's worth checking whether your data — such as age, gender, weight and height — is the same in both apps, as this will affect the calorie burn calculation.
